Your challenge: Deliver compelling content on your site

Users want value on a web site, and on most sites that value is the available content. In this respect, the attribute of usability involves the ease of getting at that value. Content is king, and usability is its servant.

For example, on a(n):

  • Equity brokerage site content issues include all of the various types and detail of the market analysis and stock information that is available, including chart formats, and timeliness and detail of the information.
  • Financial planning site, content can include the types of calculators and planning wizards that are available to produce personally relevant information.
  • Shopping site, content issues may involve the quality and detail of the product pictures, the ability to compare products (including competitor's products) on relevant attributes, or the detail provided about the company’s return policy.
  • News site, content refers to all of the various topics that are included in the site, and the general quality of that information.
